Depends! For 30 minute sessions, at least 20. Hour sessions are usually in the 50-80 range. 2 hour sessions are 80+ and weddings are about 300-800 depending on how long ya have me!

How long have you been a photographer?

I don't really remember a time without a camera in my hand, but I began my business with my first ever paid senior shoot back in the fall of 2016. Found my love and knack for photography back in 2012 and have been in love ever since!

03/

What is the process of booking you?

Well, it starts here!!! After you see my work, style, and what I'm about, and decide it's your vibe too, it's time to shoot over an inquiry from my contact page. I want you to spill EVERYTHING I need to know about what you want to do together! I will then get back to you within 48 hours of your submission and we can start chattin dates.

Once we narrow in on a date, I will email over a proposal which is made up of a contract and retainer invoice. After I get your gorgeous autograph and the 30% retainer is paid - IT’S OFFICIAL!!

Shortly after that, we will stay in touch to decide a specific location, time, talk about outfits, whatever you need! I’ll also make sure to check in closer to the date, if I don't hear from you, just to reconfirm everything!

How does payment work?

Once I get the green light from you (aka I’m doing a happy dance from behind my screen) I'll send over an online contract and retainer invoice through Honeybook.

To officially have your shoot or wedding booked, a 30% non refundable retainer is required. This is what puts your shoot on my calendar, holds your date, and ensures I'm all yours and no one else’s that day! Finally, the remaining balance is due before the shoot either 5 days before for sessions and 2 weeks before for weddings. You can easily set up autopay in HoneyBook so it goes out on that date without you having to worry about it.

I do also accept cash, check, or Venmo if you prefer.

05/

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes! My default is 2 payments - the 30% retainer and final payment. However, I'm more than willing to work something out with you if you need to break up that final payment into more than one. Please don't hesitate to let me know if that is something that would work better for you!

06/

Do you charge travel fees?

I mean, have you seen gas prices? Jokes…but yes! I currently charge travel for anything over 30 miles or 45-60 minutes from where I live in Cleveland. Travel is priced at 85¢ per mile to and from the location of your shoot or wedding.

07/

What should I wear?

There are a few different ways to approach this - bottom line, I think you should wear whatever best represents you and your personality. However, there is certainly something to be said about how well neutrals, blacks, whites, and earth tones photograph! Shoots with more than one outfit almost always include a variation of dressed up and dressed down options.

Flowy dresses that give great movement to photos, lots of layers in the chilly months for visual appeal, textures, accessories like flat brim hats, structured blazers, a good pair of jeans. For the guys, sweaters, plain white t’s, jeans and chinos, jean or leather jackets, I mean the list goes on.

I'm always here to help or give more specific suggestions if you need it!

Who can come?

The more the merrier in my opinion! Bring along anyone who will loosen you up, make you feel comfortable, and preferably be down to do something dumb behind me to get that natural laugh to make a showing!

What if I need to cancel / reschedule?

Rescheduling due to unforeseen circumstances or illness is never fun, but it's no big deal at the end of the day. To reschedule sessions, I’m more than willing to find a new date that works for us both.

Please just let me know asap once you find out you need to reschedule.

For canceling a session or wedding altogether, THE NON REFUNDABLE 30% RETAINER IS JUST THAT - NON REFUNDABLE. However, any monies WILL BE REFUNDED BACK TO YOU that were paid between the retainer and 2 weeks before the wedding (when final payment is due). or for all other sessions, between retainer and 5 days beofre the shoot (when final payment is due) .

What do we do if the weather is bad on the day we scheduled our shoot?

For any sessions other than weddings - We may need to reschedule our shoot if the weather is not favorable. However, I do NOT recommend rescheduling the shoot until the night before or morning-of due to consistently changing weather forecasts.

Please also keep in mind that rescheduling (for weather, unforeseen reasons, illness) during the busy spring, summer, and fall months might bump our session a couple weeks due to high demand and limited availability. But I will absolutely do my best to get you in as soon after the original date as possible!

Do you provide RAW (unedited) photos?

Short answer - nope

Long answer - There are many elements at play when hiring a photographer. But so much of that comes from picking out someone whose editing style and work is exactly what you want! Of course budget has a lot to do with it, but if you are only hiring a photographer because the price is right, then likely you may not actually be obsessed with the final product.

A RAW image is unfinished and unprocessed, similar to a painting with only a sketch outline completed. As photographers, we highly suggest sufficient research in who you want to hire and what their past work looks like before saying “I do” to your photographer and their unique style. The goal is choosing a photographer that will make you forget there even was an unedited image ;)

How do I know my photos are safe?

I shoot on a camera that has 2 SD card slots, so for every single shoot/wedding I am recording your images to both SD cards. So if something happened to one, there would be another card with your photos on it. In addition, as soon as I get home from the shoot I upload the photos onto two separate hard drives and into Lightroom. Meaning there are now 5 places your photos live. I also don't erase both SD cards until after I deliver your final gallery - your mems are safe with me!

I also highly (!!!) suggest downloading your entire gallery of photos onto your computer, a hard drive/USB, etc. as soon as you receive the final gallery. I’ll keep your gallery active for 1 year before deleting it off the gallery site for storage reasons.

13/

How long does it take to receive our photos?

All sessions are 3-4 weeks and weddings are 8-10 weeks! I'll send some sneak peek photos within 72 hours of the session/wedding.

14/

What do you recommend for printing our photos?

I don't know who needs to hear this…but photos aren’t meant to live in your camera roll or Dropbox forever!!!
Luckily, the gallery site I use to share photos to you, called PicTime, is FANTASTIC and has a built in professional print lab. You'll notice at the bottom of your gallery there are various print options from all types of wall prints, greeting cards, photo books, calendars, and tons more.

This is a slightly more expensive option, but it's a heck of a lot better quality than CVS and Shutterfly. I also get a itty bitty cut of whatever print purchase you make through PicTime, it's not much, but it’s a lovely little way to support me in a small way!
